This is about the REAL artist’s cottage! Not just a cute blog site name…

Meet my grandparents, Ron and Willow King (neè Willow Legge- her artist name). Situated in the beautiful British countryside, they are still going strong with the thing that their lives are built around. Art.

They both paint and sculpt, my Grandpa mostly with wood and my Grandma with clay. Their mini mansion is full of their sketches, paintings, sculptures and many other little artistic things they’ve built up over the years.

My grandpa once dined with the queen as a featured artist back in his younger days and my grandma worked at Madame Tussauds for many years until retirement, meeting hundreds of famous people whose wax figures stand in one of the most iconic places to visit in London. – Yes, I am boasting on my grandparents I’m so proud to be their granddaughter!! (And their house is gorgeous, just sayin’.)

Autumn Glory

Hands up whose favourite season is Autumn!! Yes!!!

I LOVE Autumn.. Theres something so melancholy and yet inspirational about it. That crisp fresh smell in the air..the sun shining on the colouring leaves.. the heat and excitement of summer mellowing down as if the earth were to go to sleep. All the feels. So beautiful.

These pictures do not do it justice, but I hope they have slightly encapsulated the deep feeling I have for Autumn.

Cat Lover?

Do you have a cat? If you do, you know what it is to have them circling your legs (almost tripping you up!) and just generally being cutely mischievious.

Attention cat lovers, just take a look at this gorgeous, green-eyed beaut! Her name is Tikka and she belongs to my SIL. She was so intrigued and curious about my camera, she kept nosing around infront of it and rolling all over the ground. I think she was secretly posing… 😉

After The Rain

Being the lover of macro and water photography that I am, it is not unusual to find myself eagerly grabbing the camera and hopping outside after a rainy day.

Water droplets are probably my favourite thing ever to photograph – for obvious reasons – they’re beautiful, shiny, and could fool you into thinking it rained diamonds right?!

There are certain leaves that ball up the water droplets into these amazing gem looking drops.  Take a peek for yourself! Here are some pics I’ve taken over my years of pic-snapping. Hope you enjoy! 🙂
